Description

A 12mm tip is a commitment. It says the mark is going to be seen from across a room, that the intent is declaration rather than annotation. Most markers sold online are 2mm or 6mm because those are the sizes that suit notebooks. This one is built for surfaces that were never meant to hold a notebook. Windows, gaffer-taped cases, primed canvas, metal signage, concrete, the side of a shipping crate.

The reservoir holds 50ml of oil-based pigment, which is roughly four to five times what a standard paint pen carries. That number matters because the failure mode of every wide-tip marker is starvation. The tip drinks the ink faster than a thin nib, and a half-empty pen starts streaking mid-letter. A 50ml body keeps the 12mm fibre tip saturated through a full piece of signage instead of a single word of it. The pigment is oil-based, waterproof and inerasable once cured, so a mark made now is still there after a season of weather.

The fibre tip is round rather than chisel-cut, which changes the way the line behaves. A round tip lays an even stroke in every direction without the angle-dependence of a flat nib, so it suits flowing graffiti lettering, large-format signature work and quick blocking where the hand wants to keep moving. Twenty-plus colours are available, and the ink is compatible with the flow-pen format the street-art community already works in. One box, one colour decision, one tool that does not need to be dipped.

Small tools make notes. Broad tools make statements. Choose the width before you choose the words.

Where It Earns Its Place

Sign writers use the 12mm body for large lettering and price-boards where a brush and pot is too slow to set up. Street artists use it for outlines and fills that would otherwise require a mop and a drip tray. Warehouses and workshops use the permanent oil pigment on crates, steel racks and cable drums where a chalk mark disappears within a week. Event and retail teams use it on glass and acrylic signage, then remove it with solvent if the promotion changes. Because the ink is oil-based rather than water-based, it holds on surfaces that reject ordinary markers.

Questions Buyers Actually Ask

Q: Is the ink actually permanent on glass?

Yes, once cured. On non-porous surfaces such as glass and glazed tile it resists water and handling. It can still be removed deliberately with solvent, which is usually what buyers want on retail signage.

Q: How many colours can I order?

The range runs past twenty colours including lilac, mulan, cangshi green, lemon yellow and light red. Select colour per unit at checkout.

Q: Does the 50ml body leak in transit?

The pump-action valve is closed when the cap is fitted. Store and ship cap-up. If the pen has been stored tip-down, prime it slowly rather than pumping repeatedly.

Q: Will a 12mm tip work for fine detail?

Not for fine detail. This is a broad-stroke tool. For edge work or small lettering, a narrower tip in the same ink family is the better choice.

Q: How long does one pen last?

Expect substantially longer service than a standard paint pen because of the 50ml reservoir. Heavy signage use drains it faster than occasional art work.

Q: Can it be used on fabric?

It will mark fabric, but it is not a textile ink and will stiffen the weave. For garments, use a purpose-made fabric marker instead.

Colour range is the reason

I ordered five colours to build a palette. Cangshi green and lemon yellow are the standout ones. Takes a little priming out of the box but then it flows steadily.

Round tip behaves differently

Round toe means the line is the same regardless of hand angle. For flowing lettering that is exactly what I wanted, and the oil pigment holds on glass without fading.

No more streaking mid-letter

The 50ml body keeps the tip wet through a whole sign. Every other wide marker I have bought starts ghosting halfway through a piece. This one does not.
