説明

Height is easy to buy and difficult to store. A fixed ladder long enough to reach a gutter will not fit in a van, sit in a cupboard or climb a stairwell, which is why so many jobs get done from an unsuitable platform.

The Summit Reach solves the storage problem first. Fifteen telescoping sections extend to 6.2 metres and collapse to 109 cm at a fraction of the working height, so the ladder lives in a van, a shed or a car boot and comes out only when it is needed. First-class aluminium alloy keeps the weight at 16.3 kg for the reach it provides, which is light enough for one person to stand up and walk with.

The engineering that matters is at the rungs and the feet. Each section locks with a visible pin, the 40 cm step width takes a full boot rather than a toe, and the non-slip feet sit flat on tile, decking and concrete. The load rating is 150 kg, generous enough for a person plus tools, and the removable hook turns the top of the ladder into a place to hang a bucket or rest a rail while both hands are working.

It is a working tool rather than a display piece. Loft access, gutter clearing, roof inspections, sign fitting, painting above a stairwell and the awkward half-landing that no step ladder reaches are all within its scope, and the folded size means the ladder travels to the job instead of the job waiting for a scaffold.

Reach is not about the height. It is about how safely you get back down.

Why This Configuration Works

  • 6.2 metre extension — fifteen telescoping sections reach roofline and upper storey work from the ground.
  • 109 cm folded height — fits a van, a shed or a car boot instead of occupying a wall.
  • 150 kg load rating — rated for a person plus tools on every rung.
  • 40 cm step width — a full boot width rather than a toe hold at height.
  • Removable hook — hangs a bucket or steadies a rail when both hands are occupied.
  • Non-slip feet — flat contact on tile, decking and concrete surfaces.
  • First-class aluminium — corrosion resistant at 16.3 kg, manageable for one person to position.

Where it belongs

Trade users reach for it on gutter clearing, roof inspections and sign or camera installation, where a scaffold is disproportionate and a step ladder is short. Homeowners use it for loft access, high ceilings, stairwell walls and painting above a landing. Property maintenance teams keep one in a service van because it covers the same reach as a long extension ladder at a fraction of the transport length, and the folded size is what makes that possible.

Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

Q: Is 6.2 metres the working height or the ladder length?

A: 6.2 m is the extended length of the ladder. Safe working height is lower, and the base must sit on level ground with the ladder at a proper angle.

Q: Can one person put it up?

A: Yes. At 16.3 kg it can be carried and walked up by one person. Extend from the base, one section at a time, and confirm each pin has locked.

Q: How much weight does it hold?

A: The rating is 150 kg, which covers a person plus tools. Keep loads within that figure and avoid side-loading the rungs.

Q: Where can it be stored?

A: Folded it measures 109 x 48 x 8 cm, which suits a van, a shed or a cupboard. Store it horizontal and dry to protect the sections.

Q: Does it work on stairs?

A: The adjustable sections let you level the feet on a stairwell, which is one of the reasons people choose a telescopic ladder over a fixed one.

Q: What maintenance does it need?

A: Wipe the sections after outdoor use, check the pins and feet periodically, and never lubricate the locking pins with anything that attracts grit.

Q: Is it rated for professional use?

A: It is a working aluminium ladder with a 150 kg rating. Check your local site rules for the ladder class your work requires.

The hook is the useful bit

I hang a bucket of paint on the hook rather than balancing it on a rung, which sounds small until you have done it. Stairwell work is where the adjustable sections earn their place. Collapses down without pinching fingers if you keep them clear.

Heavy but manageable

16 kg is fine to carry on the shoulder for a short walk and I would not want it heavier. The 40 cm steps make a difference at full extension compared with a narrow ladder. Feet grip on decking when it is dry.

Fits in the van, reaches the gutter

Twelve years of carrying a two section ladder on a roof rack and this replaced it. Folded it sits behind the seats and it reaches the gutter on a two storey house without a sway. Pins click loudly enough that you know they are seated.
