Heat Always Leaves a Signature. The Work Is Learning to Read It. A failing bearing, a loose neutral, a leak behind plasterboard and a shorted board all announce themselves the same way first, as a temperature that does not belong where it is. The TR series turns that signature into a picture you can point at during a conversation with a client. A 192 by 192 thermal sensor resolves the difference between warm and warm enough to worry about, across a working range that starts twenty degrees below freezing and reaches 550 degrees Celsius.

The instrument is sized for a hand and a tool bag rather than a tripod. A 2.8 inch LCD displays the live thermal field, a Type-C port handles charging and data transfer, and the battery is included so the first job is not delayed by an accessory order. The housing suits maintenance work as it is actually done: plant rooms stooped under pipework, distribution boards packed into a corridor cupboard, ceiling voids, engine bays, and the underside of a floor you would rather not open up.

What separates a thermal camera from a novelty is repeatability. Same distance, same angle, same emissivity assumption, so a scan taken in October can be set beside a scan taken in March and the difference means something. That comparison is how a maintenance programme stops reacting to failures and starts scheduling them, and it is why this class of instrument is bought by electricians, HVAC technicians, building surveyors and electronics repair benches rather than by people collecting gadgets.

You cannot manage what you have never measured.

Where an Image Replaces a Guess

Electrical contractors use it before they open a panel, because a loose termination shows as heat long before it shows as a fault. HVAC technicians use it to trace duct losses and blocked coils without dismantling the system. Building surveyors scan for missing insulation and air leakage as part of a condition report. Plumbers find the pipe behind a wall. Automotive and electronics benches use it to spot a shorted component on a board that would otherwise be condemned by guesswork. In every case the value is the same: the instrument converts a suspicion into a documented image, and the image is what the customer pays for.

Field Questions

Q: Which model should I order?

A: TR10 is the standard handheld unit. TR120 and TR120E are higher-tier models in the same family with different sensor and feature sets. Tell us what you inspect and we will confirm which one fits the work.

Q: Can it find a water leak inside a wall?

A: Yes, as a temperature difference. Wet material holds heat differently from dry material, so the leak appears as a cool or warm patch. It confirms location rather than measuring moisture content, so pair it with a moisture meter when the finding has to be documented for a claim.

Q: Is it accurate enough for electrical panels?

A: It resolves the hotspots that indicate loose terminations and overloaded conductors. For absolute temperature records, set the emissivity and working distance deliberately for the surface you are measuring.

Q: Does it record images?

A: The Type-C interface carries data to a phone or computer for reporting. Confirm the storage and export workflow for the model you select with our team when ordering.

Q: Do I need training to use it?

A: No. The display shows the thermal field directly. The skill that matters is interpretation, and that comes from comparing images over time on the same equipment.

Q: Does it come with a case?

A: The bundle includes the imager and the battery. Accessory kits vary by region and model, so confirm the contents with us before you order.

The EastSupplier Promise

Every unit in this listing is inspected and packed by our own cross-border team in China before it leaves the warehouse. We hold the stock, we handle the export paperwork, and we answer technical questions directly rather than routing you through a marketplace resolution desk.

Orders ship with tracking, and quantities above ten units are quoted individually so that shipping and duties are confirmed before you pay. If you are buying for a workshop, a studio, a fleet, or a service bay, tell us what you need and we will confirm availability, lead time, and landed cost.

Compact and quick to learn

Took it out on a floor heating job the day it arrived. The 2.8 inch screen is small but the image holds up, and comparing today against a scan from last month is now part of my reports. No training needed.

Good for panel work, set your emissivity

Use it on distribution boards and it picks up warm terminations clearly. Absolute temperature readings need the emissivity set properly, which is true of every camera in this class. Type-C charging is convenient.

Found the leak in one scan

Survey work on a rental property, the TR10 showed the wet patch behind the plasterboard in about two minutes. Resolution is good enough to see the shape of the trail, not just a blur. Battery was charged on arrival.
