Programming and coding of the ECU. It's easier to operate

ECU Programming：

This LAUNCH X431 diagnostic scanner can be used as a programming tool for the J2534 ECU, thanks to its newly developed Smartlink C VCI housing. It allows OEM software to be updated and existing software/firmware replaced in electronic control units (ECUs), in order to solve software-controlled driving and emission problems.

Online Programming：

It involves downloading programs from the server over the network and then compiling them into the ECU. For some vehicle series (Mercedes Benz, BMW, etc.), after replacing the control unit, in order to match the module with the vehicle and make the vehicle work normally, online programming is necessary.

J2534 Reprogramming:

As a local J2534 PassThru device, the SmartLink C VCI can work with the PC installed with the OEM diagnostic software to perform J2534 reprogramming. In this case, the PC must be installed with LAUNCH's J2534 tool, which can be downloaded from the LAUNCH website.
