Description

The PediKit Pro

The human foot contains 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 tendons and ligaments — a biomechanical marvel that carries us roughly 115,000 miles in a lifetime. It deserves maintenance infrastructure. The PediKit Pro is exactly that: a precision-graded roller replacement system designed for the electric callus remover you already own, engineered to the tolerances that the factory originals never aspired to.

Each head in the 13-piece kit is manufactured from micro-abrasive mineral compounds bonded to a high-RPM-rated core — not the pressed quartz dust that ships with most consumer removers and disintegrates after three uses. The grit grading follows a deliberate progression: coarse heads (80–120 grit) for initial callus reduction, medium heads (180–220 grit) for surface smoothing, and fine finishing heads (240–320 grit) for the glass-smooth final pass that makes you wonder why you ever paid a salon. The system is designed to be cycled: coarse for quarterly deep maintenance, medium for monthly upkeep, fine for weekly refinement.

Compatibility is engineered, not guessed. The PediKit Pro heads fit the full Scholl file ecosystem — Velvet Smooth, Express Pedi, and Wet & Dry models — with the same locking collar geometry and RPM rating as the OEM heads. The difference is in the material science: where the originals use economy-grade abrasives that lose cutting efficiency after 2–3 sessions, these heads maintain their grit integrity through 8–12 full-foot treatments before showing meaningful wear.

Your feet have carried you this far. Give them the maintenance protocol they deserve.

Application Scenarios

The PediKit Pro serves home users who maintain their own foot care routine between salon visits, professional pedicurists who need a reliable consumable supply for their electric file stations, and anyone who has experienced the frustration of a dull OEM head turning a 5-minute maintenance pass into a 20-minute struggle. It is particularly valuable for runners and athletes who develop callus patterns that demand regular mechanical exfoliation — the graded system lets you rotate heads based on condition severity rather than using the same worn-down roller for every session. Diabetic foot care patients (with physician approval) benefit from the controlled, predictable abrasion that a fresh medium-grit head provides versus a worn coarse head that cuts unpredictably.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will these fit my Scholl device?

A: The PediKit Pro heads are compatible with Scholl Velvet Smooth, Express Pedi, and Wet & Dry electric foot file models. They use the standard Scholl locking collar. If your device accepts Scholl brand replacement heads, these will fit.

Q: How do I know which grit to use?

A: For thick, established calluses, start with coarse (blue, 80–120 grit) to reduce bulk. For moderate roughness, use medium (green, 180–220). For maintenance and final smoothing, use fine (pink, 240–320). Never press hard — let the roller speed do the work.

Q: How often should I replace a head?

A: Replace when you notice the roller requires more pressure to achieve the same result, or when the abrasive surface appears smooth to the touch. For weekly users, this typically means every 2–3 months per head. The 13-piece set provides approximately 18–24 months of regular use.

Q: Can these be sterilized between uses?

A: The heads can be rinsed with warm water and mild soap. For salon/professional use between clients, wipe with 70% isopropyl alcohol and allow to air dry. Do not autoclave — high heat can degrade the bonding agent that holds the abrasive particles.

Q: Are these single-use disposable heads?

A: No. Each head is designed for multiple uses — typically 8–12 full-foot treatments before meaningful wear is observed. The washable construction means you rinse, air-dry, and reuse. This is not a single-session disposable.

No more salon pedicures for maintenance

I'm a marathon runner and my feet take a beating. Between races, I used to pay $45 every 6 weeks for callus removal. This kit plus my existing Scholl file has paid for itself 3 times over in six months. The heads fit perfectly — no wobble at speed — and the ventilated storage case keeps everything organized in my bathroom cabinet.

Great value set, wish it included more fine heads

For the price of one pack of Scholl originals, you get 13 heads across three grit grades. The coarse and medium heads are excellent — they bite well and don't clog. The fine heads are good for finishing but I go through them faster than the others because I use them most often. Would love to see a set with 5 fine, 5 medium, 3 coarse. Still a 5-star value at this price.

Finally, replacements that actually last

The original Scholl heads were wearing out after 2-3 uses — the abrasive would go smooth and the roller would just spin uselessly against my calluses. These PediKit heads are on a different level. I'm on my 8th use of the coarse blue head and it's still removing material effectively. The color-coded grit system is intuitive — I go blue (coarse) once a month, green (medium) weekly, pink (fine) for touch-ups.
