説明
Shade is an engineering problem disguised as a fabric problem. A tarpaulin blocks light and holds water. A camouflage net blocks light, moves air, disappears into a treeline and can be carried by one person. Those are different jobs, and the difference is decided by construction rather than by colour.
The WELEAD reinforced net is built from 150D polyester Oxford, stitched rather than glued, with a reinforcement grid bonded to the fabric. The grid does two things at once: it stops the net from ballooning in wind, and it distributes load so a corner does not become the failure point. Rope tear strength is rated at 200 newtons and fabric tear strength at 500 newtons, which is the pair of numbers that matters when the wind picks up and something has to hold.
Water resistance sits in the 1500 to 2000 millimetre range, and the 6 by 6 centimetre mesh gives airflow that a solid tarp cannot. Colour fastness is rated to EU standard level five, so the desert pattern stays desert rather than fading to grey after a season in the sun. Outdoor service life is stated at two years and indoor service life at five, which is an honest way of saying this is a consumable that is built to be reused.
Sizes run from 4 by 8 metres to 4 by 10, in desert, woodland, digital, black, green and ocean patterns, at 3.2 kilograms for the base size. It packs into a bag small enough to go in a vehicle footwell.
Concealment is not invisibility. It is the absence of anything worth noticing.
Construction, in plain terms
✦ Reinforced stitch grid. A bonded reinforcement mesh distributes wind load across the panel instead of concentrating it at the edges.
✦ Rated tear strength. 200 newtons on the ropes and 500 newtons on the fabric, which is the specification that decides whether a corner survives a gust.
✦ Breathable 6x6cm mesh. Air passes through, so the net does not become a sail or trap condensation under it.
✦ Water resistance 1500-2000mm. Sufficient for rain showers and morning dew without being a sealed membrane.
✦ EU level 5 colour fastness. The pattern holds its tone through UV exposure instead of washing out after one season.
✦ Multiple patterns and sizes. Desert, woodland, digital, black, green and ocean, from 4 by 8 to 4 by 10 metres.
✦ Carryable weight. 3.2 kilograms for the base size, which is one person moving it without a vehicle.

Where it is actually deployed
The military and airsoft buyer uses it for vehicle hides and observation posts, where the requirement is breaking up a silhouette rather than blocking light entirely. Photographers and wildlife shooters use it as a blind that does not spook animals with a solid dark rectangle. Event and site crews hang it as overhead shade where a solid tarp would trap heat. Camper and overlanding owners string it as a windbreak that still lets air through. Horticulturists shade glasshouses and seed beds without cooking what is underneath. What it is not is a waterproof roof: 1500 to 2000 millimetres handles showers, not a night of heavy rain, and anyone expecting a dry shelter should pair it with a proper flysheet.
Practical questions
Q. Is this the same as a camouflage tarp?
No. A tarp is a sealed sheet designed to keep water out. This is a mesh net designed to break up a silhouette and let air through. Using it as a waterproof roof will disappoint you.
Q. How do I rig it?
Reinforced corners and edge rope allow tensioning to trees, vehicles or poles. Keep tension moderate: the grid is designed to distribute load, not to be winched tight.
Q. Which pattern should I choose?
Match the environment the net will actually be used in. Desert and woodland cover most natural terrain, black suits urban and night use, and ocean patterns are for coastal and maritime settings.
Q. Can it be repaired?
Small tears can be stitched or patched with a matching fabric patch. Because the reinforcement grid carries the load, a repair should span the grid lines rather than sit between them.
Q. How long will it last outdoors?
Around two years of continuous outdoor exposure and roughly five years indoors or under cover. UV is the limiting factor, and taking it down between uses extends that considerably.
Q. Does it come with a carry bag?
The net packs compactly and is supplied for transport in a bag. Confirm the bag and peg set for your specific size, because bundle contents differ by listing.
Order and specification note. Patterns are dyed in batches, so we confirm the pattern and size against the order rather than substituting the nearest available colour. If a size is out of stock, we say so before taking payment instead of shipping a 4 by 9 when a 4 by 10 was ordered.
