Description

Stainless steel is the honest answer to men's jewellery. It does not tarnish on contact with skin, it does not bend at a handshake, and it holds a brushed or plated finish through years of daily wear. This set is made from imported 316L stainless steel, the grade used for watch cases, and the difference shows at the clasp and along the inner edge rather than in a photograph.

The collection runs across motifs: Roman numerals, cable wire, woven bands, crown and hexagon links, each set of three built around a 17cm to 19cm inner perimeter. Band widths are matched to the motif, with the Roman letter bracelet at 8mm, the cable-wire band at 5mm and the woven band at 7mm. Worn together they layer without crowding.

Gold-colour plating sits over the steel, so the set can shift between a business shirt and a weekend jacket. The three-piece format is what makes the set worth owning: a single cuff has to be the right cuff for the day, while three bands can be stacked, split or swapped.

The clasp is the part most steel bracelets get wrong. These use a cuff and buckle arrangement that opens wide enough to slide over the wrist and locks without a tool, so the set goes on one-handed. The inner surface is finished smooth, which matters most on a band worn through a full working day.

Steel is what men's jewellery becomes when the plating stops being the point.

Where It Belongs

The set handles the whole week without being changed for one occasion. A business shirt takes two bands stacked on one wrist. A weekend jacket takes the cable-wire band alone. As a gift it covers the awkward middle ground between something too small to matter and something too formal to wear, and the steel construction means it will still look the same in five years.

Questions Buyers Ask

Will stainless steel irritate my skin?

316L is the grade used for watch cases and surgical instruments, and it is chosen specifically because it resists skin reaction. Anyone with a known nickel allergy should still test a short wear first.

Will the gold colour wear off?

It is a plating over a stainless base. Plating wears with abrasion, not with time, so the inside of the wrist and the clasp area will hold longest. Remove the bracelet for the gym and heavy manual work to extend it.

How do I check the size before buying?

Measure your wrist and add roughly 1cm to 1.5cm. The bands suit an inner perimeter of about 17cm to 19cm, which covers most adult wrists.

Are all three bracelets the same motif?

No. Each set of three is built around one motif family with varied band styles, so the three pieces layer as a stack rather than repeating.

Can a woman wear this set?

Yes. The set is styled with a men's cuff silhouette but the widths and motifs work as an oversized stack on a smaller wrist.

How should I store it?

Keep it in the OPP bag it arrives in, ideally away from other hard jewellery. Steel does not tarnish easily but it does scratch against sharper metals.

Is it hard to put on alone?

No. The cuff opens wide and closes with a buckle rather than a screw or a two-handed clasp, so it can be put on and taken off one-handed.

Does the inside of the band scratch?

The inner surface is finished rather than left raw, so it does not catch on skin or clothing. Worn beside a watch, it polishes rather than cuts.

Good weight, slightly loose fit

The steel is solid and the inside is finished smooth, which matters if you wear a watch on the same wrist. Mine sits a little loose at 19cm, so measure before you order.

Three bands, layered properly

The Roman numeral one is my favourite but the cable wire band is what I wear alone. They layer without looking crowded, and the buckle opens wide enough to get on one-handed.

Steel that still looks new

I wear steel because I work with my hands and plating normally wears off within months. This set has held up through a summer of site visits with no dulling on the outside of the band. Gold colour is even.
