The halter neckline is the oldest solution to a specific problem: how to leave the shoulders and back open while keeping the front of a dress under control. Here the strap runs from the neckline to the back of the neck in one continuous line, so the dress holds itself without hardware digging into the shoulder. The print does the rest, a dense graphic repeat that reads as textile rather than as a picture.
The waistline is where the design earns its price. Instead of a horizontal seam cutting the body in half, the waist closes on an irregular line, higher at one side than the other, which throws the drape off-centre and makes the A-line fall unevenly in a way that flatters rather than corrects. Sizes and Length
Four sizes, measured from the shoulder point to hem: XS 78 cm, S 82 cm, M 86 cm, L 90 cm. The halter construction means there is no shoulder seam to adjust, so length is the primary variable and the body follows the A-line drape.
If you are tall, take the larger size for length even if the body fits at a smaller one; the asymmetric waist sits high and will not pull out of place. Allow two centimetres of tolerance for manual measurement.
