説明

A Key Is Not a Copy. It Is an Identity.

Every immobilizer system in the world is built on one stubborn idea: the car will only talk to a transponder it recognises. That is why a lost key is never a hardware problem — it is an identity problem. The metal blade turns a lock. The chip inside the fob is what convinces the engine control unit that the person holding it belongs behind the wheel. Solve the identity and you have solved the job; miss it and you can cut a thousand perfect blanks that all fail to start the car.

The Autel MaxiIM KM100 is built specifically for that identity layer. It generates a universal smart key in about sixty seconds, learns immobilizer data over OBD on the vast majority of supported vehicles, and identifies the car four separate ways — Auto VIN, manual VIN entry, automatic selection or manual selection — so a worn door sticker never becomes a dead-end. Frequency detection reads the existing fob and displays both the numeric value and the waveform on screen, which turns a guessing game into a measurement. Transponder functions cover cloning and editing across the common ID types, and the tool is deliberately positioned as the lite, portable arm of the IM508 and IM608 families: the immobilizer work, without the full workshop platform.

Two OE-level Autel IKEY smart keys ship in the box, which matters more than it sounds. It means the first job of the week can be finished without waiting on a parts order, and it means the tool pays for itself against the first two dealer key replacements. The hardware is sized to live in a van rather than on a bench: Android 9.0 on a 5.5-inch 1280 × 720 display, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for online updates, and an 8 MP camera for capturing key and immobilizer layouts. Free online updates keep the vehicle list current as new immobilizer generations arrive.

The car decides who is allowed to drive it. This tool decides what the car will recognise.

Where This Tool Belongs

The KM100 is aimed at the technician who already does keys but does not want a bench full of platforms. Auto locksmiths use it as the first tool out of the van for all-keys-lost and spare-key jobs, leaning on the four identification methods when the vehicle is older, imported or simply has no readable VIN. Independent repair shops use it to stop subcontracting every immobilizer job, while tyre, audio and body shops use it after replacement modules or dashboard work have wiped learned keys. Fleet and rental operators keep one on site because a single lost fob can otherwise park a vehicle for days. Because two blank smart keys are included, the tool is also a sensible entry point for small locksmith businesses building a key inventory. As with every legitimate immobilizer tool, verify the specific vehicle and key type against the current coverage list before quoting — and only program keys for vehicles you are authorised to service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this the same as the Autel KM100E?

The tool is marketed in several regions as the KM100 or KM100E. The core capability set — key fob programming, immobilizer learning over OBD, universal key generation, frequency detection — is the same instrument family described in this listing.

Q: How is the KM100 different from the IM508 or IM608?

It is the lite, portable version. The IM508 and IM608 are full diagnostic platforms that also carry immobilizer functions; the KM100 focuses on key and immobilizer work in a smaller, lower-cost handheld that is easier to keep in the vehicle.

Q: Do I need the original key to program a new one?

For all-keys-lost situations the tool can generate a new universal key and perform immobilizer learning over OBD on supported vehicles. A working key is useful for cloning work and for reading the existing frequency, but it is not always required.

Q: Are blank keys included?

Yes. Two OE-level Autel IKEY blank smart keys are supplied in the package, so you can complete a standard job immediately. Additional key styles can be sourced separately.

Q: Does it work on every brand and model?

No single immobilizer tool covers every vehicle ever built. Coverage is broad and expands with updates, but you should always check the current vehicle and key type list before committing to a job.

Q: How often does the software need updating?

Online updates are free under the manufacturer programme. Keeping the tablet current is what adds newly released immobilizer generations to the vehicle list.

Great for mobile work, lighter than the big platforms

This lives in the van and handles the immobilizer jobs I used to turn away. It is not a full diagnostic platform, so engine work still goes to the larger tool, but for key programming and IMMO learning it is quick and dependable.

Including two blank keys is the smart part

The two Autel IKEY blanks in the box meant I finished my first job the same day instead of waiting on a parts order. Frequency detection read the old fob and displayed the waveform, which made confirming the chip straightforward.

Generated a key in about a minute

All keys lost on an older sedan and this handled it without drama. Auto VIN missed on the first attempt so I entered the VIN manually and it went straight through. The new key programmed and the car started first try.
