説明

A work van spends its life being useful. It hauls, it waits, and it turns three hours of motorway into three hours of whatever the cabin decides to be. The Vito Deck exists because the factory head unit in a 2003 to 2015 W639 never made that decision well, and the difference between a van and a place you do not mind sitting is one screen.

The panel is a 10 inch double DIN display running Android 13 on an eight core MTK platform with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable to 256GB. Wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto both connect without a cable, which matters in a vehicle where a charging lead across the dash is a daily annoyance. Audio runs through a four channel amplifier rated at 4 x 45W, so the factory speakers wake up. Bluetooth handles calls and music, the built in GPS takes navigation off your phone, and the unit reads vehicle data for tyre pressure warnings and rear camera input on the same screen.

The harness is built for the Vito, Viano and W639 platform across 2003 to 2015, so the connectors land where the original ones were and the steering wheel buttons keep working through the canbus layer. Software updates are free for the life of the unit. The display is a capacitive touch screen with an anti glare coating, and the AI voice layer lets you keep both hands on the wheel while you change a route.

Your van already works for a living. There is no reason the dashboard has to feel like a punishment.

Where It Fits

This suits fleet vans, camper conversions and owner driven W639 workhorses where the original radio has aged out of usefulness. Delivery drivers use the split screen for navigation and calls at the same time. Weekend converters want a reversing camera on the same display as their route. Anyone running a Vito with a tired factory unit can fit this in an afternoon and keep the steering wheel controls they already use without thinking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this fit my Vito?

A: The harness and fascia are built for the W639 platform from 2003 to 2015, which covers the Vito 2 and Viano 2 generations. If your van has a factory navigation unit or a non standard trim, send a photo of the current dashboard before ordering so the connector set can be confirmed.

Q: Do I need to cut any wiring?

A: No cutting is expected on a standard W639. The supplied harness connects to the factory plugs, and the canbus decoder handles steering wheel buttons, illumination and vehicle data. Some markets offer paid installation support through the brand if you would rather not do it yourself.

Q: Is CarPlay wireless or wired?

A: Both modes are supported wirelessly, so the phone stays in your pocket or on a mount and connects on its own. Wired connection also works when you want the phone charging at the same time.

Q: Can I keep my factory reversing camera?

A: The unit accepts a reversing camera input and supports the commonly used factory camera signal on this platform. If your van has a camera with a proprietary module, mention it when ordering so the correct adapter can be included.

Q: How long does installation take?

A: Around two to three hours for a clean fit with the camera and routing hidden behind trim. The physical swap is quick, but running the GPS antenna and microphone cable tidily is what takes the time.

Q: Are map updates free?

A: Yes. The listing states permanent free software and map updates for the Android platform, delivered over the built in Wi Fi or from the bundled video cable connection.

Fit the GPS antenna properly

Good unit and the Android layer is quick with the 4GB of RAM. Rushing the antenna placement behind the dash cost me an afternoon of weak signal, so route that cable somewhere with a clear view of the sky.

Steering wheel buttons still work

The canbus decoder kept volume, track and call buttons working, which was my main worry. Tyre pressure warnings now show on the same screen as navigation, and the reversing camera input was a straight fit.

Wireless CarPlay in a 2008 Vito

Fitted to a W639 work van and CarPlay pairs on its own before I pull out of the yard. The van is older than the screen by fifteen years and the dash finally feels like somebody designed it.
