説明
Every desk has one drawer of small things, and the ones that get used are never the plain ones.
A standard paper clip is an engineering answer to a paper problem: cheap, invisible and identical. That is the right choice for a filing cabinet. It is the wrong choice for the top sheet of a submission, a page marker in a book you intend to lend, or the corner of a hand-written card. The moment a clip is seen rather than hidden, its shape starts doing work that a wire loop cannot.
This set is twenty metal clips cast as painted cartoon animals and fruit, with a colour range that reads clearly against white paper. The bodies are stamped from metal and coated rather than moulded in plastic, so they hold tension the way a clip should and spring back instead of bending flat on the second use. The shapes are offset from the clip line, which means they sit on the edge of a page as a marker without obscuring the text behind them.
Twenty clips are packed at random across the design range, which suits the way they are actually used: a few on the desk, a few marking pages in a book, a handful going out with a stack of students work. They are light enough to travel in a pencil case without snagging fabric, and small enough that a pack lasts years rather than a term.
A paper clip does not have to be seen. These are designed on the assumption that it will be.

Where It Belongs
They belong wherever paper still moves by hand: a teacher marking a stack of exercise books, a student flagging chapters before exams, an office that sends signed contracts out in envelopes, a small studio that closes every parcel with a hand-written thank-you note. They also do quiet work as gift packaging detail, and as the small desk gift that gets remembered, because nobody throws away a clip shaped like an animal. Buyers typically order two or three packs and split them across home, office and study.
Questions, Answered
Q. Are these real metal clips or plastic?
Real clips: stamped metal with a painted coating, so they hold paper the way a clip should.
Q. Which designs are included?
Twenty pieces selected at random from the current animal and fruit range. Sets are mixed rather than themed.
Q. Do they mark the paper?
The coating is colour-fast and the edges are deburred, so normal use does not scuff or leave residue.
Q. Are they strong enough for a thick stack?
They hold a few sheets comfortably. For heavy multi-page stacks use a standard clip and keep these for the top sheet.
Q. Are they a suitable gift?
Yes, they suit teachers, students and desk-work gifts. Small parts mean they are not for very young children.
Q. Will the paint chip in a pencil case?
The coating resists scuffing in normal carry. Severe abrasion against keys or coins will wear any coating over time.
