Copper Does Not Negotiate. It Only Transmits. Every serious electrical build has exactly one point of failure that nobody photographs: the wire. Amplifiers starve for current through undersized cable. Inverters overheat because a PVC jacket turns brittle in an engine bay. Battery relocations lose voltage across a run that was never rated for the load. The Conduit Line was selected to remove that variable. This is a super-soft silicone power cable built around a stranded pure-copper conductor, sized from 14 AWG down to 26 AWG, and cut in continuous lengths from five metres to fifty. It is the unglamorous component that decides whether the glamorous components actually work.

Silicone is the reason this cable survives where ordinary wire fails. The jacket remains flexible from minus sixty degrees Celsius to plus two hundred degrees Celsius, which means it does not crack in a winter engine bay and does not soften against a hot manifold. The conductor is stranded, not solid, with individual strands of roughly 0.08 millimetres, giving the cable the fatigue resistance that vibration environments demand while still carrying a DC rating of up to 3000 volts. It is certified to CE and FCC, supplied in matched red and black pairs for polarity-clear runs, and it is available across eight distinct gauges so that a single order can service an entire project rather than one circuit of it.

Choose the gauge by current, not by habit. Fourteen and sixteen AWG carry the heavy loads: battery relocation, inverter feeds, winch and starter circuits, high-output LED bars. Eighteen through twenty-two AWG handle sensor runs, relay triggers, indicator lighting and small solar interconnects. The fine gauges are for signal work where flexibility inside a tight enclosure matters more than current capacity. Because the insulation is silicone rather than PVC, the wire stays supple even when routed through grommets, around corners and inside loom that has to bend rather than kink.

A cable is not a commodity. It is the part of the build that decides whether the rest of it holds up.

Application Scenarios

The Conduit Line is aimed at anyone who has ever traced a fault back to the wire. Car audio installers use the heavy gauges to feed amplifiers and subwoofer banks without voltage sag, and use the fine gauges for remote turn-on and signal runs. Van, camper and overland builders route it between lithium banks, DC-DC chargers, solar controllers and interior lighting because the silicone jacket shrugs off heat cycles that destroy PVC. RC and drone builders value the 20 to 26 AWG range for its flexibility at the joint. Workshop and industrial users buy the fifty-metre cuts to keep a spool on the bench rather than ordering wire metre by metre. In every case the reasoning is identical: the run is permanent, and redoing it is expensive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can this cable be used to relocate a car battery to the boot?

A: Yes. For a typical relocation, 14 or 16 AWG is appropriate for the main positive feed over the lengths offered here, with a matching ground return. If your starter draw is high, size up and keep the run as short as the layout allows.

Q: Is the conductor genuinely copper, or copper-coated aluminium?

A: It is stranded pure copper with individual strands of approximately 0.08 mm. Copper-clad aluminium is lighter and cheaper, but it carries less current for the same gauge and work-hardens at the joint. This is the real material.

Q: Which gauge should I choose for a 12 volt LED lighting circuit?

A: For interior and accent lighting, 18 to 22 AWG is normally sufficient. If you are driving a high-power light bar drawing more than ten amps, step up to 14 or 16 AWG to keep voltage drop negligible.

Q: How hot can this wire get before the insulation is affected?

A: The silicone jacket is rated for continuous operation up to 200 degrees Celsius and remains flexible down to minus 60 degrees Celsius, so it tolerates engine bay heat and winter cold without cracking or embrittling.

Q: Can I solder and crimp this wire easily?

A: Yes. Because the strands are fine and the jacket is soft, the cable strips cleanly, crimps well into standard terminals and accepts solder without wicking heat far up the conductor.

Q: Why silicone instead of the usual PVC insulation?

A: Silicone stays flexible across a far wider temperature range and does not harden or crack with age. In vibration-heavy or heat-cycled installations, that difference is the whole service life of the harness.

Q: Do lengths come as a pair of red and black, or as single runs?

A: Both colours are offered across the gauge and length range, so you can order matched polarity pairs for a single circuit or a single colour for a specific run.

Replaced every PVC run in the build

I have started using this exclusively for wiring inside enclosures. The fine strand construction means it bends around corners without fighting back, and the 3000V rating gave me confidence on the inverter feed.

Very good wire, cuts slightly short

Excellent conductor and the temperature rating is real. My only note is that the 5 m cut is a true 5 m, so measure your run before ordering rather than assuming slack. Would buy again in the 50 m length.

Perfect for amplifier feeds

Used the 16 AWG red and black pair to feed a two amplifier setup. The silicone jacket handles the heat near the manifold without any smell or hardening. Ordered 20 m and had enough left for the remote turn-on runs in 22 AWG.

Genuinely copper, and it stays soft in the cold

I run 14 AWG of this for a battery relocation in a van build and it stripped and crimped cleanly. It was still fully flexible at minus temperatures where the old PVC wire had gone stiff. No voltage drop on the run at all.
