Description

Connection Is Not Optional. Even When the Elements Disagree.

There is a specific kind of anxiety that grips you when the GPS recalibrates mid-route and your phone — your navigation, your communication, your lifeline — flashes a red 3% battery warning. The AquaMount eliminates that anxiety permanently. Designed for the intersection of water exposure and power demand, this cradle delivers 15W Qi wireless charging through a fully sealed, IPX6-rated waterproof housing. Whether mounted on a motorcycle handlebar in monsoon rain, a boat console in salt spray, or a bicycle stem on a gravel trail, the AquaMount keeps your device charged, visible, and protected — without a single cable to fumble with in the wet.

The universal clamp mechanism accommodates phones from 4.0 to 7.2 inches, gripping with silicone-padded arms that absorb vibration rather than transmitting it to your device's optical image stabilization. The 360-degree ball joint lets you switch from portrait navigation to landscape media in one motion. Beneath the industrial design, the charging coil uses multi-protocol identification — it negotiates the optimal charging rate with your specific device rather than defaulting to the lowest common denominator. This is not a plastic bracket. It is a power delivery system engineered for environments where failure is measured in lost signal and dead batteries.

The difference between a phone mount and a mission-critical charging cradle is the difference between hoping your battery lasts and knowing it will.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this survive riding in heavy rain?
A: Yes. The IPX6 rating means the AquaMount is protected against powerful water jets and heavy spray from any direction. It is designed for motorcycle and marine use in wet conditions.

Q: Does wireless charging work through a phone case?
A: Yes, for most cases up to 5mm thickness. Metal cases, magnetic mounts, or credit-card holders between the phone and charging surface will interfere — remove these before charging.

Q: What power source do I need?
A: Any USB-A or USB-C port delivering 5V/3A (15W) or higher. Most motorcycle USB ports, power banks, and vehicle adapters meet this requirement. A USB-C cable is included.

Q: Will the clamp scratch my phone?
A: No. All contact points are lined with vibration-absorbing silicone padding. The arms grip the sides of your device without metal-to-device contact.

Best cycling phone mount I've owned — and I've owned six

I do ultra-endurance gravel racing where navigation failure means DNF. The AquaMount solved my two biggest problems: wet-weather charging (no exposed ports) and vibration damage (the silicone padding actually works — my previous mount destroyed two phone cameras' OIS). The 360 ball joint is stiff enough to hold position on washboard gravel. Zero complaints after 500km of testing.

Solid marine performer with one caveat

Using this on my center-console fishing boat. The IPX6 rating is legitimate — it's been splashed repeatedly and the phone stays bone dry inside. Wireless charging works through the housing but noticeably slower than direct cable — expect about 7-8W real-world rather than the full 15W. For keeping navigation running on long passages it's perfect. For rapid charging during short rides, bring a backup cable.

Survived a 4-hour ride in a tropical downpour

I ride a KTM 390 Adventure in Costa Rica where 'rain' means biblical downpour. Mounted this on my handlebar three weeks ago and it's been through two monsoon rides, river crossings, and endless gravel vibration. Phone stayed charged at 100% the entire time — the 15W wireless charging actually works through the waterproof housing. The silicone grips haven't left a mark on my iPhone. Best motorcycle accessory I've bought this year.
