Darkness arrives without negotiation. In the mountains it comes an hour before the clock says it should, and the camp that looked organised in daylight becomes a scatter of unmarked bags and half-found stakes. The Night Anchor is a response to that specific hour: a 3500-lumen COB lantern that turns a campsite back into a room, hangs from a hook or clings to a steel frame, and keeps working long after the tents are zipped.
The light itself is tunable, which matters more than raw output. A rotary control moves colour temperature from 2700K to 6900K, so the same lamp can cast warm amber across a dinner table and switch to cool daylight for repair work on a bike derailleur. Brightness steps through energy-saving, low, medium and high modes, and a press-and-hold brings up a red channel for night vision that preserves dark adaptation instead of destroying it. A thirty-second shutdown timer means the lantern does not have to be found again in the dark.
Power comes from a 3000mAh cell with a Type-C input that refills in about two and a half hours and delivers between two and a half and twelve hours of runtime depending on the mode chosen. The housing is rated IPX4, which covers rain and splashes rather than submersion, and the built-in magnetic hook holds to a vehicle panel, a metal tent pole or a tailgate while the light is aimed where it is needed. It also accepts a USB output, so the same cell that lights the camp can revive a phone.
Good camp lighting does not announce itself. It simply makes everything else possible.
Built for the Dark Half of the Day
- 3500 lumens of COB output — Daylight-grade illumination across a full campsite, not just a pool around the tent.
- 2700K to 6900K tunable white — Warm light for the table, cool light for tasks, adjusted by a rotary knob.
- Four brightness modes plus red — Energy-saving, low, medium and high, with a red channel for night vision.
- 3000mAh cell, Type-C charging — Full recharge in about two and a half hours from any USB-C source.
- 2.5 to 12 hour runtime — Choose the mode that matches the night rather than carrying spare batteries.
- IPX4 weather resistance — Handles rain, spray and damp evenings at the edge of a lake.
- Magnetic hook and power bank output — Hangs on steel, aims where needed, and charges a phone in an emergency.

Who It Is For
The Night Anchor is aimed at people whose evenings happen outdoors: tent campers, van lifers, anglers setting up before dawn, and hunters packing out after sunset. It suits the family campsite where one lantern has to cover a table, a cooking area and the walk to the wash block, and equally the solo bivouac where weight matters and the magnetic hook lets the light hang from a pole instead of being held. Because the colour temperature is tunable and the red mode preserves night vision, it also works as an emergency light at home when the power fails.
At the Campsite
Q: Is it fully waterproof?
It is rated IPX4, which means it withstands rain and splashes. Do not submerge it or leave it standing in pooled water.
Q: Can it charge a phone?
Yes. The cell provides a USB output for emergency top-ups, though a phone charge will noticeably reduce the lantern runtime.
Q: How long does it run on the highest setting?
The highest mode draws the most current and gives the shortest runtime, around two and a half hours. Lower modes extend this toward twelve hours.
Q: How do I change the colour temperature?
Rotate the control knob to move between warm 2700K and cool 6900K light. Brightness steps are handled by clicking, and the red channel is accessed with a press and hold.
Q: Will the magnet hold on a tent pole?
The hook is magnetic and holds firmly to steel poles, vehicle panels and metal frames. Aluminium and fibreglass poles are not magnetic, so use the hanging loop instead.
Q: Does it turn itself off?
There is a thirty-second shutdown timer available when switching off, which gives time to leave the area without fumbling for the switch in the dark.
Q: Can I use it while it is charging?
The lantern can run from a USB-C source while connected, which is useful inside a vehicle or a tent with a power bank. Runtime on a fully charged cell remains the better option for portability.
