Beschreibung
The phone has become the last screen in the house that still needs a hand. The Longreach takes it out of your hand and puts it where your eyes already are, at the height of a pillow, a sofa arm or a kitchen counter, on a stainless steel arm that holds its position instead of sagging under the weight of the device.
The arm is a segmented gooseneck rather than a single spring. Each section bends and stays bent, so the phone sits where you leave it and the joint does not creep downward over an evening. The clamp at the end opens wide enough for a cased phone and grips the sides rather than the screen edges, which keeps the display clear and the buttons reachable.
The base is a screw clamp that tightens onto a bed frame, a desk edge, a headboard or a table top up to about five centimetres thick. No drilling, no adhesive, no mark left behind when you move it. The whole unit weighs very little, which matters because the arm is only as stable as what it is attached to. Tighten the clamp on something solid and the phone stays exactly where you put it.
A holder is not an accessory. It is the difference between watching something and holding something.
How the arm behaves
- ✦ Segmented stainless steel gooseneck holds its shape instead of drooping overnight.
- ✦ Screw clamp base grips beds, desks, headboards and tables without drilling or adhesive.
- ✦ Phone cradle opens wide enough for a cased handset and grips the sides, not the screen.
- ✦ Rotating head tilts and turns so the screen faces you at any angle.
- ✦ Leaves both hands free for reading, cooking, typing or simply lying down.
- ✦ Compact enough to move between bedroom, desk and kitchen in one hand.
- ✦ No power, no pairing, no app. It works the moment you clamp it on.

Where people clamp it
Bedside is where most people use it first: the phone sits at eye level for a video, an audiobook or a call without an arm going numb. On a desk it lifts the screen to eye height and frees the keyboard area. In a kitchen it holds a recipe above the counter and away from splashes. In a workshop or on a garage bench it keeps a manual or a tutorial visible while both hands are working. Anyone who has propped a phone against a mug and watched it slide flat will recognise the point of the clamp.
Before you buy
Q: Will it hold a heavy phone in a thick case?
Yes, provided the clamp is tightened onto something solid. The arm carries the weight and the jaw grips the sides of the case. A very thick rugged case may need the jaws opened fully.
Q: Does the clamp damage furniture?
The jaws are flat and padded. On soft woods, put a thin cloth between the clamp and the surface if you plan to leave it in place for months.
Q: Can I use it while charging?
The cradle grips the sides, so the charging port stays open. Route the cable along the arm and the phone charges while it sits in the holder.
Q: Does the arm sag over time?
The arm is stainless steel rather than aluminium wire. It holds a bend, and if a joint loosens after months of repositioning, bending it back past the working angle restores tension.
Q: What surfaces can it attach to?
Bed frames, headboards, desk tops, table edges, shelf lips, kitchen counters and workbenches. Anything with an edge up to about five centimetres.
Q: Is it stable for typing?
For watching, reading and video calls, yes. For two-handed typing on the glass, a clamp-mounted arm will always move a little. That is the nature of the mount, not a defect.
What you receive
One clamp, one arm, one cradle, assembled and ready. If the clamp slips on a normal table edge within the first month, we replace the unit rather than explain it.
