Beschreibung

A vacuum is not judged by what it picks up. It is judged by what it pushes back out.

Every cylinder vacuum pulls air through a bag and exhausts it back into the room. That is why the bag, not the motor, decides the air quality of the room you just cleaned. These are the Hepa-Flo bags for the Numatic Henry family: a multi-layer cloth construction with a filtration layer that traps fine dust and allergens before they reach the motor filter, and a collar that seats properly on the inlet spigot so the bag fills from the bottom instead of leaking at the neck.

The pack contains ten bags and five vacuum freshener sticks. Capacity is nine litres per bag, which is the working volume of the Henry cylinder, and the collar geometry is what makes the difference between a bag that lasts a month of household cleaning and one that collapses after a fortnight. Because the bag is the primary filter, replacing it on schedule also protects the secondary motor filter and keeps suction from falling away as the bag loads.

Compatibility covers the whole family rather than a single model: Henry, Hetty, Henry Cordless, Henry Turbo, Henry Pet, Henry Allergy, James, Harry and Nuvac, with part numbers 604015 and 907075 (NVM-1CH) fitting machines including the HVR160, HVR200, HET160, HET200, HHR200, HVA160, HVT160, HVB160, PET200, NVP180, NRV200 and NRV240. It also fits all Numatic six and nine litre machines and the four to eight kilogram range.

The cheapest part of the machine decides how well the expensive part performs.

Seal, Layer, Freshen

Three things a consumable has to get right, and most do not.

  • ✦ Nine litre capacity matched to the Henry cylinder working volume
  • ✦ Multi-layer cloth with a Hepa-Flo filtration layer before the motor filter
  • ✦ Collar cut to seat on the inlet spigot and fill from the bottom
  • ✦ Ten bags per pack, roughly a year of routine household cleaning
  • ✦ Five vacuum freshener sticks included to control exhaust odour
  • ✦ Fits the full Henry, Hetty, James, Harry and Nuvac range
  • ✦ Cross-references 604015 and 907075 (NVM-1CH) part numbers

Compatibility Check

These bags fit every Numatic Henry container size from 160 through 300, which covers the HVR160, HVR200, HET160, HET200, HHR200, HVA160, HVT160 and HVB160 machines, plus the Pet200, Nuvac, VNP180, NRV200 and NRV240. They also fit all Numatic six and nine litre machines and the four, five, six, seven and eight kilogram range.

The part numbers to compare against your existing bag are 604015 and 907075, both of which cross-reference NVM-1CH. If the bag currently in your machine carries one of those numbers, this pack is the correct replacement. Check the collar shape rather than the model name alone, because Numatic has used more than one bag format across the Henry range.

Consumable Discipline

Bags are the part of a vacuum nobody thinks about until suction drops and the exhaust starts to smell. Replacing on a schedule rather than on failure is what keeps a Henry running for a decade, which is why these are sold in tens: a household running one machine through a full house weekly gets through roughly one bag a month, and the freshener sticks handle the exhaust between changes. Detailers, cleaners and anyone using a Henry for building dust will go through them faster, and that is exactly the case where the filtration layer earns its cost.

Replacement Questions

Q: Are these genuine Numatic bags?

They are Avern Cleaning Supplies Hepa-Flo bags built to the Numatic 604015 and 907075 specification, with the same collar geometry and nine litre capacity. They are a compatible consumable, not Numatic-branded packaging.

Q: Will they fit my Henry if it is an older model?

Check the part number on the bag currently fitted. If it reads 604015, 907075 or NVM-1CH, the collar matches. The range covered runs from the HVR160 through the HVR200 and the cordless models.

Q: How often should I change the bag?

When it reaches about two thirds full, or every four to six weeks in a normal household. Waiting until the bag is packed costs suction and puts load on the motor filter.

Q: Do the freshener sticks go inside the bag?

Place one stick inside the bag before fitting it. The airflow carries the scent through the exhaust, which is why it works better than spraying the room afterwards.

Q: Can I use these in a Henry Pet or Henry Allergy?

Yes. The Henry Pet, Henry Allergy, Turbo and Cordless models all take the same bag format, and the Hepa-Flo layer is the version you want for pet hair and fine allergens.

Q: Are these bags compostable?

No. The filtration layer is synthetic cloth and the bag is a single-use consumable. Dispose of it with household waste once removed, sealed if it contains fine building dust.

Check your part number first

Fits our HVR200 exactly, and the freshener sticks are a good addition. My only advice is to check the number on the bag you are replacing, because Numatic has used more than one format. Nine litres matches the cylinder.

The collar seats properly

Cheap bags leak at the neck and the machine loses suction within a week. These seat on the spigot and fill from the bottom, so suction holds until the bag is genuinely full. Ten bags is about a year for a normal household.
