Beschreibung

A Cordless Tool Is Only as Honest as Its Weakest Cell.

The most capable drill in the world becomes an expensive paperweight the moment its pack sags at the halfway mark of a job. The Iron Reserve is built around that failure point. Six thousand milliamp-hours of 18650 lithium-ion capacity sits inside a shockproof case, delivering roughly 2.3 times the run time of a factory 3.0Ah pack, so an afternoon of framing, decking or cabinet work stops being a race against a red LED.

Inside, a memory chip and CPU manage the charge profile rather than leaving it to chance, with safeguards against incorrect voltage, short circuit and internal overheating. A built-in LED indicator lets you read the remaining charge at a glance instead of discovering it at the bottom of a cut. The pack is built to the 18V LXT platform, so it drops straight into the tools and chargers already on your van, and the array is certificated to FCC, RoHS, CE, PSE and TUV standards.

Available as a two-pack or a four-pack, with or without a matching charger, so you can decide how much reserve your operation actually needs.

Downtime is not a schedule problem. It is a battery problem.

Where It Belongs

The Iron Reserve is for anyone whose Makita collection has outgrown its battery drawer. On a build site it means a framing crew can run two or three tools from a single mounted pack without a shuffle to the charger. In a workshop it means a full session on the impact driver, the recip saw and the circular saw without a rotation schedule. For mobile installers, the four-pack with charger is a self-contained power reserve that turns the van into a charging station and keeps the day moving regardless of where the nearest socket is.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this fit my existing Makita 18V tools and charger?

Yes. It is built to the 18V LXT platform and replaces the common pack codes including 194204-5, 194205-3, 194309-1, 194230-4 and the BL1815 through BL1890 family. If your tools take a standard 18V Makita slide pack, this is the same interface.

Q: How much extra run time does 6.0Ah actually give me?

Roughly 2.3 times the run time of a factory 3.0Ah pack, which is the difference between finishing a job on one charge and making two trips back to the charger.

Q: Does the pack protect the tool as well as itself?

The internal memory chip and CPU manage the charging profile, and the pack carries safeguards against incorrect voltage, short circuit and internal overheating, which protects both the pack and the tool it drives.

Q: How do I check how much charge is left?

A built-in LED indicator shows the remaining charge so you can read it before committing to a cut rather than finding out mid-task.

Q: Is it safe to leave on the charger overnight?

The charge is managed by the on-board CPU rather than a simple timer, and the pack is certificated to FCC, RoHS, CE, PSE and TUV standards. It is designed to sit on a compatible charger under normal workshop conditions.

Q: Which configuration should I order?

A two-pack suits a single-tool user who wants a spare always ready. The four-pack, particularly with the matching charger, suits crews running multiple tools or anyone working away from mains power.

Q: Does the pack come with a charger?

The two-pack and four-pack options are available with or without a matching charger. If you already own a compatible Makita charger, order the batteries alone; if you are building a self-contained kit, choose the configuration that includes the charger.

Q: Can I mix this pack with my existing Makita batteries?

Yes. It is built to the same 18V LXT interface, so you can use it alongside your original packs and charge it on the same charger. The higher capacity simply means it runs longer between charges than a 3.0Ah pack.

Q: How should I store the pack when it is not in use?

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and avoid leaving it fully discharged for long periods. The internal CPU manages the charge profile, and the protective circuitry continues to guard against short circuit and overheating while the pack is in storage.

Q: Is the capacity genuinely 6.0Ah?

The pack is rated at 6000mAh, which is 6.0Ah, using 18650 lithium-ion cells. That is the figure used to calculate the quoted run time of roughly 2.3 times a standard 3.0Ah pack, and it is the capacity you can expect across the discharge curve.

Bought the four pack for the crew

We run three tools off one pack rotation now and nobody has had to stop for a charge mid-task since. The packs are certified and I have had no overheating issues even on the grinder, which is the tool that used to kill lesser batteries.

Good value spare pack

Fits my existing Makita charger and tools with no adapter needed, which was the main thing I was worried about. Slightly heavier than the original pack, but that is the nature of the extra capacity. The charge holds well between jobs.

Runs all afternoon on the circular saw

Put the 6.0Ah pack on my circular saw for a decking job and it outlasted the two 3Ah packs I used to rotate. The LED gauge is more useful than I expected, you can read it before committing to a long rip cut rather than finding out halfway through.
